Fishing If you like to fish we have numerous inland lakes, streams, and of course, Lake Huron. Pictured are "King" Salmon that range from 8 pounds to 18 pounds plus. They are tremendous fighters and may take 30 minutes or more to land in the boat. JC Charters can take you to these fish aboard the "Fish Hawg". First timers and children are welcome. There are also many streams and lakes to fish in the area. Bring your own boat or rent one on any of the inland lakes where you might be staying. (You'll see sights as pictured below).

Lake Huron Pictured at the left is one of the many great lakes freighters on Lake Huron caught in a perfect sunrise shot. Both Rogers City and Presque Isle have limestone mines. Rogers City has the world's largest open pit limestone mine and loads many freighters each week. There are viewing stations in Rogers City for both the Quarry View and the loading docks.

Inland Lakes Pristine color and clarity is what one looks forward to while visiting the area - and let's not forget the sound of a loon. If you have not heard one, you need to. You'll never forget it. The lakes are all sport lakes so come prepared to sail, ski, swim, canoe, and fish. Pictured at the left is the Three Sisters Island in Grand Lake, Presque Isle. What makes this lake unique are the numerous islands scattered throughout and one of the reasons I chose to live here. Resorts and rental cabins are located on all of the inland lakes as well as on Lake Huron. Boat rentals are also available. Best of all, it's not crowded and the fishing is pretty good.
