Swimming... Wading... Sandcastles... Just look at the color of the water. The Lake Huron shoreline features either separate or combined sand and stone, (some of the prettiest and most interesting you'll ever see). The best thing is, there are many miles of accessible shores. 1) Pristine water, clarity and color. 2) Nothing in the water to get you! 3) Not a lot of crowds to contend with, you'll have plenty of space. 4) The water deepens gradually.

Lighthouses The immediate area hosts a number of these magnificent aids to navigation. Pictured are the "Old" and "New" Lighthouses of Presque Isle Harbor, ideal sites for education, recreation, and relaxation. Both structures, along with their keeper's homes, are fully restored and open for public viewing. Climb to the top and you are likely to see a freighter or two passing by, along with a number of fishing boats.
